Municipal Elections

Overview

The City of Mountain Park has one Mayor and five Councilmembers.

Municipal General Elections are held in the odd years.  Elections are staggered with only three candidates running every two years. This means that three Council seats will be running in one year and the Mayor seat with two Council seats will be running two years later. The Mayor and Councilmembers are elected at-large. All terms of office are for four years.

City elections are non-partisan(meaning candidates do not run as members of a particular political party) and their individual party affiliations are not relevant to their positions in Mountain Park Government.
