The City of Mountain Park is governed by a mayor and five-member city council, elected to office on staggered four-year terms.
Regular meetings of the mayor and council are held at the city hall or at such other place as may be designated, on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. If the fourth Monday falls on a legal holiday, the council meeting shall be held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Carol holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Georgia State University and a B.S. ed. from the University of Georgia. She taught English language arts and English to Speakers of Other Languages in the Georgia public school system for 32 years before retiring in 2019. Lloyd is a Navy Veteran who served aboard a Nuclear Missile submarine. His Navy schooling led to 43 years working in the electronics industry. He designed and built components for more than 30 different satellite systems, including the RF Telemetry Switch for the Hubble Space Telescope. Mark has a degree in Finance and was an executive in the consulting and IT outsourcing industry for over 30 years. Since retiring in 2016 he has focused on generating funds for charities close to his heart, which include Homestretch, a Roswell-based organization providing temporary shelter for working homeless families, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and the Fuller Center, which provides housing for the poor. Linda has 35 years of experience in government, including 8 years working with State Representative Dorothy Felton at the Georgia State Capital and 27 years serving as Commissioner Tom Lowe’s Executive assistant with Fulton County before retiring in 2014. She is presently serving on the Board of Directors of the Sandy Springs Society as Historian. She is 1990 alumnae of Leadership Sandy Springs, and is a member of the Brookfield West Country Club and the Downtown Atlanta Commerce Club. Linda served as President of the Mountain Park Civic Club 2016-17, and has been active as member since 2000. Linda sponsored the Brick memorial that has been installed at the Community Building.
