Free Candidate Training Workshop Offered at Roswell City Hall
Roswell, Ga. (July 24, 2019)—Members of the community interested in running for public office are invited to attend a Workshop for Candidate Training at Roswell City Hall on Friday, August 2, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. This free workshop will be presented by the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission (GGT & CFC) (formally known as the State Ethics Commission).
The workshop introduces current public officials, candidates, and other interested members of the public to the Campaign Finance Act and how it applies to candidates and public officials. Topics may include preliminary matters, definitions, forms, reports, late filing fees, contribution limits and campaign records. Training staff from GGT & CFC will be conducting the workshop and will be available to answer questions.
Roswell City Hall is located at 38 Hill Street, Roswell, GA 30075. The workshop will be held in Room 220.

· Attached you will find a fact sheet about 2019 Property assessments as well as a .pdf version of the “Understanding Your Assessment Notice” insert that was included in the notices. This includes a brief explanation of the new homestead exemptions that were introduced this year.
· If a property owner does not believe their 2019 assessment reflects the fair market value of their property, they have the right to appeal. The deadline for Fulton County property owners to appeal their 2019 property assessment is August 2.
